Civil Society for Malaria Control, Immunization and Nutrition (ACOMIN) is the national network of civil society organizations working on the prevention, treatment and mitigation of the impact of malaria, and the promotion of immunization and better nutrition in Nigeria.
ACOMIN was formed in March 2006 with the technical assistance of FMoH, ENHANSE, Futures Group, USAID, UNICEF and other stakeholders under the name “National Association of Civil Society in Malaria (NACOMAL).” At a national plenary session in April 2006, the network expanded its scope to include immunization and nutritional issues while maintaining a primary focus on malaria. This led to a name change from NACOMAL to ACOMIN.
