ABOUT US

Civil Society for Malaria Control Organization Immunization and Nutrition (ACOMIN).

ACOMIN is the National Network of Civil Society Organizations working on the prevention, treatment and mitigation of the impact of malaria, and the promotion of immunization and better nutrition in Nigeria.

ACOMIN exists to coordinate the roles and strengthen the institutions and interventions of civil society organizations involved in interventions in malaria, immunization and nutritional issues.

SCOPE OF WORK

ACOMIN as at June 2010 has about 800 registered Civil Society Organizations, which are made of Faith Based Organizations; Community Based Organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations. These are in the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT.

Acomin

Governance and Management

Annual General Meeting (AGM): This is the highest decision making body for ACOMIN. It is held once every year and is responsible for making amendments to the constitution, receiving and approving reports from the NEC and ratifying the election of the members of the National Executive Council of ACOMIN.

The Board of Trustees (BOT): The BOT members are the registered Trustees of ACOMIN made up of high profile Nigerians with passion and zeal to pursue and achieve the Goal and Mission of the Network.

The National Executive Council: This body is the governing board of ACOMIN, with the National President as the chairperson. The responsibilities of the Executive Council include: providing oversight for all the affairs of ACOMIN, policy making, resource mobilization, financial and programmatic accountability and advocacy.
